New Brand environments project

We've been busy carrying out site visits for an exciting new brand environment project. The project involves the design of several office environments across the UK bringing to life a new identity within the office environments, creating way finding systems and enhancing the staff and visitor experience.

Check back over the coming weeks to see how the job progresses and hopefully plenty more shots of Rob and John donning their hards hats and high-vis jackets!

CBS Outdoor Intranet

With six different business units, each with its own leadership and culture, CBS Outdoor International wanted to connect its international teams via an intranet.

The purpose was to create a central information and knowledge sharing source that would meet business needs while preserving a unique sense of each business unit’s culture.

Our brief was to create an intranet that was not just a stagnant knowledge bank, but also an interactive, engaging and motivational tool. We were challenged to push the boundary of design within the Sharepoint 2010 environment. This gave us the opportunity to think outside the box, while not compromising functionality.

We gave the intranet a name of its own – The Eye – and designed a modular content style, which incorporated bold imagery and colour. The Eye went live this month, and soon all international employees will undergo their user training, enabling them to connect and work more efficiently with their colleagues in other countries.

Interactive Europe Campaign Identity

CBS Outdoor commissioned their second qualitative and quantitative pan-European study which gathers new insights into consumers' current interactive behaviours and how they see these developing in the future.

We created the campaign identity for the launch of Interactive Europe, as well as a microsite, five animations, a toolkit for implementation across European markets and all launch collateral.

The media landscape has changed dramatically in the last 10 years, and new forms of technology makes it possible for consumers to interact with out of home advertising in new and more ways than ever before. 

We’re not sure what was more thrilling, seeing our animations on the escalator screens at Oxford Circus, or displayed on the enormous Westfield Stratford outdoor screen.  One thing that is certain, is that this campaign sets CBS Outdoor apart form their competitors and has got a lot of people talking about the exciting interactive future of out of home advertising.

Capita Business Travel

When the Capita Group purchased BSI, a hotel booking agency, and merged them with Capita Business Travel, a travel management company, they realised that it would take some inspired thinking to ‘sell’ their exciting and market changing proposition. 

Following a series of workshops and stakeholder interviews, we have developed the brand strategy for the new entity using our brand model framework. We have also constructed core messages for both the combined and specialist offers. To help them implement the changes required and inform their clients of the benefits the merger will bring to the sector, we have developed a communication platform that communicates to all stakeholders during each stage of the programme. 

Our next challenge is to develop a name for the new organisation and create the supporting visual identity. So the rest of the year is certainly looking to be a busy and exciting time for the project team.

Website redesign for CBS Outdoor

We have refreshed all of the CBS Outdoor Internationals websites. We designed and implemented the sites across all international markets including the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain and The Netherlands.

Our brief was to focus on simplifying the user journey to ensure that sought after content was easier to find, and the call to action prompted and facilitated. The project required careful consideration, as many of the existing pages would not be redesigned, requiring the architecture and structure of the new templates to ‘fit’ with the existing approach.

We collaborated with our technical development partners and proud to say that since the launch of the revitalised sites, CBS Outdoor has been pleased to announce that visitors have increased by 10% and bounce rate reduced by 38%.

Alfred Dunhill Links

We are delighted to be working together with the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship team for our 12th year working on all event branding and collateral.

The championship is one of the world’s leading golf events, played over three magnificent links courses – the Old Course St Andrews, and the Championship courses at Carnoustie and Kingsbarns. It is a pro-am competition, which features celebrated amateur golfers playing alongside the professionals.

The association between Dunhill and golf in Europe has spanned more than two decades, and the championship is now a magnet for golfers from around the world. Given the prestigious nature of the event, we are constantly challenged to design and produce beautiful pieces, which surpass the previous year’s creation. This year will be no exception.

We have the additional challenge of creating an app for this year’s event, which it is hoped will bring spectators even closer to the event.
