TURN YOUR BRAND INTO A WORLD PEOPLE WANT TO ENTER.

brand positioning - cultural strategy - visual direction - social strategy

More relevant. More recognizable. Harder to ignore.

We uncover the cultural opportunity your brand can credibly own, then bring positioning, visual direction and social strategy together in one connected brand world built to earn attention and attract the right customers.

EVERYTHING IS LIFESTYLE NOW.

Your brAND STRATEGY NEEDS TO CATCH UP.

  • People don’t choose through rational comparison alone. Feeling, familiarity and instant recognition all influence what gets chosen to a greater extent.

  • Brands are identity signals. What we buy helps express who we are, what we value and where we belong - especially in an increasingly divided, social-media-driven world.

  • Sameness is invisible. When attention is scarce, a distinctive brand world helps people notice, recognize and remember you.

Category conventions and disconnected brand-building fail: they create brands that look familiar - leaving price as the only obvious difference, communicate inconsistently and disappear from memory.

To stand out, positioning, visual direction and social strategy must build one distinctive brand world.

The strongest brands today don’t compete on product alone. They also sell identity, lifestyle, and a world people want to belong to.

* Based on established research into intuitive decision-making, mental availability, brand distinctiveness and consumer identity, including work by System1, the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute, Daniel Kahneman, and Ana Andjelic.

Through cultural mapping, trend analysis and semiotics, we decode the behavioral and perceptual shifts, visual, verbal and sensory codes shaping your category.

We then identify the cultural opportunity your brand can credibly own. Our process is connected rather than linear: positioning, visual direction, and social strategy develop together from the beginning, each informing the others to build one distinctive brand world.

ABOUT ME

I’m Kata Fasi, a brand and cultural strategist with two decades of experience across international agencies, global brands such as L’Oréal, Unilever and McDonald’s, and founder-led businesses in fashion, beauty and lifestyle.

I’ve always been naturally attuned to trends and fascinated by how behaviors, aesthetics and ideas emerge and what they reveal about what people value and desire.

Throughout my career I gained experience in media planning, social media, creative strategy, and brand building. Across these disciplines, I kept seeing the same problem: everything is developed in separate silos, making communication less coherent and less effective than it could be. Working with fast-moving startups and independent brands in crowded markets, I saw how this disconnection led directly to missed growth opportunities.

UnderCurrent grew from the belief that these disciplines should inform one another from the beginning. Every project is led directly by me, connecting cultural insight, positioning, visual direction and social strategy into one distinctive brand world.
